What permit do i need?

Day 04: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (5 to 6 hours) 2750m / 9022ft

Tikhedhunga imgWe advent on one of the toughest days of the trek today. After breakfast, we start our trek by crossing the Tikhedhunga River and later the Bhurungdi River. Three hours later, we reach the village of Ulleri and the climb continues through rhododendron and oak forests to reach Banthati. The trail makes a steep drop to a river followed by a brief climb past a ridge to arrive at Ghandruk. A lively village mostly inhabited by the Gurung community, Ghandruk impresses you with the charm of a typical mid-hill village and convenience in the form of ample modern amenities. As you take a cultural tour around the village along the maze of stone-paved alleys, you can find a lot of fun activities worthy of your time. A Gurung museum, local handicraft stores, and the typical Gurung cuisine and traditional music enrich the experience. The concluding day of our trek, we enjoy the final downhill walk after breakfast. The trek is along stone steps descending through the village of Chane with slopes of neatly terraced paddy fields, flanked by interesting houses along the way to Kimche. From Kimche, we walk along a relatively flat trail continuing down the Modi valley to Shyauli Bazar, Birethanti and eventually to Nayapul.

From Nayapul, we are picked up and transferred to our hotel in Pokhara. The evening is a good time to stroll along the lakeside street and enjoy the sights, sound, and food in the market area. It may be a good idea to celebrate the last day of the trek in the beautiful ambience of Pokhara.

Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu (7 hours) 1400m / 4593ft

The tourist bus to Kathmandu leaves in the morning. After breakfast, we bid farewell to Pokhara as we board the bus and drive along the winding roads of Prithvi Highway. Witnessing the sub-urban landscape dominated by lush vegetation and numerous rivers. The towns and markets along the highway add a different character to the road trip. As we reach Kathmandu, you are dropped off at your hotel. In the evening, you are invited to a farewell dinner with the team.
