You will cross  Chola pass (5,5420) one of the popular pass of the Everest region.Island Peak (6,179m) is one of the main climbing peaks of the Everestregion. The mountain was named “Island Peak” in 1952 AD due to its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an Island on a sea of ice. It was renamed “Imje Tse” in the early ’80s, though its original name is still more popular. Island Peak has an impressive, highly glaciated West Face that rises from the Lhotse Glacier.
A short half hour flight will be undertaken from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport . Start your trekking through the Solu Khumbu, capital of Sherpa. A full day rest will follow at the Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar. On that day, a hike for acclimatization is possible to Khumjung and everst view hotel and  then back to Namche. You will continue trek to Gokyo and climb the Gokyo Peak for the wonderful views of Himalayas and then follow a high pass of Chola (5,420m). Ascending the glacial valley and continuing up to reach Gorak Shep. You will hike to Kala Pathar (5,545m), a shelf at the foot of Mt. Pumori, is well rewarded with the entire view of the south face of Mt. Everest. After visiting the Everest Base Camp (5,357m) trail descends and you will take a shortcut through Kongma La (5,535m) to Chhukung. After a day of walking from Chhukung you will reach the Island peak base camp to prepare for your attempt at the peak.  You will endeavor the summit (6,179m) after one night at the High Camp perched on the South West Ridge where magnificent vistas of the Khumbu can be seen from the top.
