Trekking to the Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Chola Pass is possible throughout the year. However, the best season that you can choose is during the season of Spring and Autumn. The spring season is from March to May in Nepal, while the Autumn season is from September to November. This season can provide you the best weather to trek to the Everest Base Camp through any trekking routes. As the weather is clear and you can get a closer view of the sky, the most preferred season for trekking is the spring season. Also, autumn can give you a warm welcome while you want to make your trek adventurous. However, the winter season is not recommended for trekking as the weather can be harsh during winter in high altitudes.

This route starts at Lukla, and then take you to Namche Bazaar, Dole, Machermo, Gokyo, Thaknak, and Phakding. Then, you will cross the Cho La Pass, which takes you to the Everest Base Camp. You will need to pass through the villages of the Everest region during the trek. Throughout your journey, you will be pleased by the warm welcome of people and be able to experience the tradition of the Sherpa people, their customs, rituals, and also enjoy their general hospitality. The trek will require you a total time of 15 days and 14 nights, which includes the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and the return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu as well.
