The peak contains two faces, namely; Lobuche East and Lobuche West, which is 6,119 and 6145 meters, respectively. As the climb is not so tough, it is a good option for beginners who are willing to trek for the first time in the Khumbu region and want to collect a climbing experience.

Route Options for Lobuche Peak Climbing

In order to complete your Lobuche Peak Climbing, you can take different routes. The first thing you need to do is take a flight to Lukla from the capital of the city, Kathmandu. After that, you will need to trek through the villages like Phakding,Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche and then reach to Lobuche. As you get to Lobuche, you will meet the point where the routes for the Everest Base Camp and Lobuche Base Camp gets separated. If you want to conquer the Lobuche peak, you need to choose the Lobuche’s peak path.

As you take the path of Lobuche peak, you will need to go through the Khumbu Glacier in order to reach the Lobuche High Camp, which is at an altitude of 5,400 meters. Before that, you will come through the Lobuche Base Camp, which is at an altitude of 4,950 meters. You will need to spend a night in the tents and head to the peak from the high camp the other day. The higher you go, the paths turn steeper and steeper. You will reach the summit as you follow the path, and your Lobuche Peak climbing gets completed.

 

Best Season for the Lobuche Peak Climbing

When you plan for a trek in Nepal, you should probably think about the seasons, too, as the climate can be harsh sometimes. It is always better to conquer the summit in Nepal during the season of Spring and Autumn. The months from March to May and the months from September to November is the best. Spring and autumn season in Nepal brings no rainfall. Also, it is suitable for peak climbing as there is less chance of snow. The weather is also warm, which makes it easier for the trekkers to climb the summit in moderate temperatures. Hence, the days are bright and clear, which makes it easier for the trekkers to conquer the peak with no hurdles.

However, you can also choose the monsoon and the winter season too. But, you will have a hard time climbing the peak in the monsoon and the winter season as there might be rainfall in the monsoons season and the climate gets too harsh during the winter because of extreme cold.

Difficulties that you might face during Lobuche Peak Climbing

As Louche Peak Climbing is one of the most adventurous activities in Nepal, it is difficult to climb. The peak is in the high altitude that makes it harder for the trekkers to climb. Before you start to climb the peak, you need to prepare yourself well, as you will need to struggle. With at least 5-6 hours a day trek, the trekkers might feel it is difficult to climb because of the steep mountain and the snowy Himalayan section. The climbers should collect some climbing experience before they try to conquer Lobuche Peak.
