The best time for trekking to Kanchenjunga is during the months of spring and autumn. The months of spring are from March to May, and the month of autumn is from the month of September to November. As the sky is clear and the temperature is moderate during the seasons, you will have a great time trekking. The temperature and weather both are favorable for the trek during this time.
Although there are possibilities for the trek throughout the year, you should not try trekking to the summit during the monsoon and the winter season. The frequent rainfall during the monsoon season makes it difficult for the trekkers to climb to the summit, and during the winter season, the cold climate along with snowfall makes it very difficult to trek. Hence, it’s better not to choose monsoon and winter season for trekking.

Hence, the trekkers need to be physically as well as mentally prepared before they start the trek. During the trek, you need to walk for around 7-8 hours a day, which might make you drained physically. Therefore, you need to work a lot on maintaining your physical strength so that you can walk for a long time in a day. Also, there might be a possibility for landslides during the rainy season. You need to be aware of it too. Walking in the rugged topography might make you injured also.
