Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the most adventurous treks in Nepal that leads you to the high altitude Himalayas as well as the cultural and ethnic heritages of Nepal. As a popular trekking package, the Manaslu Circuit Trek takes you to the Annapurna region of Nepal. During the trekking trail, you will get to encounter the beautiful and spectacular views of the Ganesh Himal and Mt. Manaslu. As you pass through the trail, you will also get to encounter the Hindu and the Tibetan ethnic groups of Nepal. It will take you to the Budhi Gandaki River, which is just below the Larkya Pass. During the trek, you first start through the 700 meters and reach to a high altitude. Throughout the trek, you will get to view the beautiful lush forests of Nepal, stunning mountains, and huge glaciers.
The trek requires you to ascend the Budhi Gandaki River. As you ascend the Budhi Gandaki river, you will face many waterfalls as well as streams, and it will finally lead you to Larkya La Pss, which is at an altitude of 5123 meters. It is the highest point of the Manaslu trek, which provides you the beautiful view of Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu, and Hiunchuli. You can also view the green lake of Birendra on the way. As you cross the Larkye La pass, you will get to view the stunning views of the Mt. Annapurna II, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru Himal, Gyaji Kang, and Himlung Himal. As you descend downwards to Tanbuche, you will follow a narrow trail to Dudh Khola, which brings you to the glorious forests covered with juniper, pine, and rhododendron. The walk from the Marsyandi River to the Besisahar is the end of the trek.
This trekking trail is one of the most protected regions of Nepal, and you will require a permit to conquer the trail. As solo trekking is not allowed in this trial, you will need a group of at least two if you want to trek to the Masalu Circuit. Also, you will need an experienced guide with you.
Talking about the best season to trek to the Manaslu Circuit, the best season could be either the Spring or the Autumn season. As the sky is clear and the weather is moderate during these seasons, it is one of the most favorable seasons for trekking in Nepal. Whenever you choose any trek in Nepal, make sure that you choose the autumn or the spring seasons. The best months are from the months of March-May ( Spring) and from the months of September to November (Autumn). You can choose the monsoon and the winter season as well. But, monsoon and winter season are not recommended as you will need to go through harsh climatic conditions during the winter season, which might hamper your trek.
It is certainly a tough task to trek to the Annapurna region of Nepal. The Manaslu Circuit Trek can be pretty tough. But, it does not mean that you cannot complete the trek. The trekking requires trekkers to be fit mentally and physically. So, before you begin your Manaslu Circuit Trek, make sure you are physically fit and have trained yourself with the right exercises. The trekking is relatively difficult in comparision to other short treks in Nepal as might face harsh weather at some times. Also, you will sometimes be the victim of altitude sickness. In case you are not fit, there is no point that you can try this 20 days trek.
Although the trek is risky and you will need a permit for the trek, you can have an adventurous trek with an experienced guide. An experienced guide will not only make your trip safe but will deal with the hurdles of permits, food, and accommodation, making your trek easy and unforgettable. However, make sure that you have a licensed guide. Also, decide well on choosing the right month and season for the trek as your trek might not be successful if you choose the wrong time.
